One search for cycling gear in India ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

44,000+ products. 19 specialist stores. One search box.

Type what you're after โ€” a brand, a category, a size, a price ceiling โ€” and see live stock and current prices across India's serious cycling retailers. You buy directly from the store.

What problem we solve

India's cycling gear is scattered across 19+ specialist stores. No single one has everything.

Buying gear here means opening a lot of tabs. You want a specific tyre, a jersey in your size, a helmet under a budget โ€” and you end up bouncing between store sites just to answer:

๐Ÿฌ Who even carries this brand in India?
๐Ÿ“ฆ Is it in stock in my size right now?
๐Ÿ’ฐ Which store has the best current price?
๐Ÿ“‰ Has it been cheaper recently, or is this the floor?

GearLama pulls all of that into one search. Filter by category, brand, size, or price. See live stock. See months of price history so you know whether today's price is actually a deal.

From weekend climbs in Himachal to city training rides in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and beyond, GearLama is built for how India rides.

Why this beats searching store by store

Every result on GearLama has three things a single-store search can't give you:

  • ๐Ÿฌ Cross-store visibility โ€” the same helmet at three stores, side by side, with the current lowest price.
  • ๐Ÿ“‰ Price history โ€” months of tracked price and stock changes so you know if a "sale" is real.
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Structured filters โ€” category, brand, size, and price cap all work as filters, not just words.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India-only โ€” every result ships from an Indian store. No unlisted duty, no "not available in your region."

The weekly blog covers new drops, price crashes, and the odd deep-dive โ€” same data, longer form.

Why I built this

I live in a remote village in the Indian Himalayas, where the nearest bike shop is a myth โ€” which is true for most Indian cyclists who don't live in a metro. So everything I ride, I buy online. And buying cycling gear online here meant the same ritual every time: 10+ browser tabs, the same thing typed into each store's clunky Shopify search (half of them showing me stuff that's out of stock), then flipping between tabs to compare prices.

I happen to have a PhD in Information Retrieval (Erasmus University Rotterdam) โ€” search is, quite literally, what I spent years studying. So instead of living with the tab chaos, I did the one thing I actually know how to do well: build a proper search over every store at once.

That's all GearLama is โ€” one search box across 19+ Indian cycling stores, with filters that actually work and price history so you can tell whether a "deal" is real.

It's a labour of love, not a business. No login. No paywall. No personal data collected. โ‚น0 revenue โ€” hence the .org. I built it so I (and you) can spend more time riding and less time searching.

Our promise

To cyclists

No sponsored results. Ever. Rankings are relevance-only. We may earn a small affiliate cut when you buy from a store โ€” but it never changes what you see, or the order you see it in.

To stores & brands

If GearLama sends you buyers, we're glad to make it an affiliate partnership โ€” but placement is never for sale. You can't pay to rank; you earn your spot by having what cyclists search for. Get in touch.

FAQ

Do I need an account?
No. Search, filters, and price history are all open. GearLama has no login or signup at all.
Are prices and stock always accurate?
We refresh from each store on a regular crawl cycle, so results are close to live but not real-time. The final truth is always the retailer's page โ€” please verify before checking out.
Does GearLama sell products?
No. Every purchase happens directly on the retailer's own website. Some outbound links may include affiliate tags.
Which stores are covered?
19 leading specialist cycling stores in India, including BumsOnTheSaddle, Cycling Boutique, The Bike Affair, Cobbled Climbs, and United By Cycling. Coverage grows over time, and every result clearly shows the source store domain.
How does the price history work?
Every time a store changes a product's price or stock status, we log it. That gives you a running record on each product page โ€” so a "sale" that's actually the normal price is easy to spot.
Can results ever be wrong?
Yes. Stores update faster than our crawl cycle, and specs can be miscategorised at the source. Always confirm compatibility, specs, and exact pricing on the retailer page before purchase.
